Mark Brendan Turner is a Nevada licensed Nevada General Contractor holding “B”, “C”, licenses for more than a decade and is also a Nevada Real Estate Broker licensed in the state for 20 years. Mr. Turner moved to Carson City, Nevada in 1992 and has maintained full time residency since that time. Mr. Turner earned a BA in Finance (1992) from Washington State University in Pullman, WA and also attended the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon (1988-1991). Mr. Turner is bi-lingual speaking English and Spanish.
During his time in Nevada, Mr. Turner co-founded the Silver Oak Development Company L.P. along with his partners, developing a 600 acre tract of ground on the north end of Carson City with various residential, commercial, and golf course projects. He was the owner and president of Silver Oak Properties, Inc. a Nevada real estate brokerage from 2001 to 2014 and co-founded RCM Realty Group, LLC in Carson City, Nevada with his partners Heidi McFadden and Sam Landis to serve the changing needs of the real estate industry in Carson City and surrounding areas.
Mr. Turner co-founded and continues to operate Black Pine Construction, Ltd as the sole owner. Black Pine Construction, Ltd is landscaping and general building contractor with an emphasis in residential, light commercial, subdivision improvements, and artificial turf surfaces. Additionally Mark owns and operates with his partners Lanturn Investments, Inc. a Nevada homebuilder with annual revenues in excess of $20 million, State Street Development, LLC, CC Builders, LLC, and Nevada Fence, LLC a licensed Nevada fence construction contractor.
Mr. Turner is a sitting commissioner with the Nevada Environmental Commission first appointed to the position by Governor Jim Gibbons in 2010 and reappointed to the Commission by Governor Brian Sandoval in 2013 as a representative of the development community in Nevada and again by Governor Sisolak in 2020. He has also served as the president of the Nevada Builders Alliance on three occasions, a construction trade organization representing over 600 member companies across the state and is the current Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee for NBA, sitting in that role since 2007.

Mark also supports local charities such as the Boy’s and Girls Club of Carson City, FISH of Carson City, and JDRF, as well as charities serving the needs of veterans in our community. He currently resides in Carson City, NV with his significant other Marcia Sarratea and their two children Treyton and Breccan. In their spare time they enjoy mountain biking, paddleboarding, and hiking throughout the West as well as following major league baseball.
